Founded in 1887 by two world renowned chemists, Claus Porto is the oldest and most prestigious soap making factory in Porto, Portugal. After World War I, the Claus Porto company flourished and became renowned throughout Europe as the best soap making factory in the world. It wasn’t long before famous fragrance and fashion houses in France, England and Spain came to Porto to have all of their soaps made by Claus Porto. Claus Porto was renamed ACH BRITO after its then current owner. Today, at its 117th Birthday, Claus Porto and the great soap-making tradition lives on to bring much quality and prestige built through many generations. Amongst Claus Porto famous soaps are the favorito, Ilyria, Alface, Banho, and Claus Porto Lysia and Aguia. |
